Creative Editorial Shoot for The Copper Closet
You guys. I can’t believe I haven’t posted this session sooner. What in the heck was I thinking?! I really don’t have much to say about this session, because the images are so incredible, that it speaks for itself.
I have really been trying to push my boundaries as a photographer. I have been tackling unique locations, like this one. I have conquered insane lighting conditions, also like this one. And the editing for this session… was a little tough as well. Hey. That’s the only way you can grow and learn, right?!
I was super stoked to shoot more of a glam look with The Copper Closet, and Avenues Lighting in Jacksonville, FL was gracious enough to let us use their warehouse and showroom to play. This shoot was inspired by that super viral photoshoot inside of Lowe’s home improvement store. It was such a cool idea and shoot, but the photos in the lighting section were to DIE for. Thus… this shoot was born.
I don’t want to go too much into the boring technical details, but most of these images are backlit, and the color balance for most of these lights contradicted each other like crazy. Trying to find angles and new compositions for this shoot was so challenging, but my absolute favorite... shooting through the lights.
I am so grateful to the models who had to get into some crazy positions, and I was a gymnast climbing over lighting fixtures, tables and chairs. When you find magic like this, you know it is all worth it.
